Opening Bell — Support

Include your phone’s system version (iOS or Android), the app version (shown at the bottom of Settings), your fund address, and what you expected to happen. Never send a password; we never ask for one.
Plus, billing and refunds
Opening Bell Plus is sold and billed by the store you bought it from: Apple on iPhone, Google Play on Android. That store handles the money:
- Manage or cancel: Settings → Opening Bell Plus → Manage subscription, or directly at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions (iPhone) or https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions (Android).
- Refunds: the store decides refunds: Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play at https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637.
- Plus missing after a reinstall or a new phone: Settings → Opening Bell Plus → Restore purchases, signed in to the store with the same Apple ID or Google account that bought it.
- Free trial: the annual plan starts with seven free days. Cancel before they end and nothing is charged.
Alerts not arriving
Open Settings → Market hours & alerts and check the switches, then check that Opening Bell is allowed to notify you in your phone’s settings (iPhone: Settings → Notifications; Android: Settings → Apps → Opening Bell → Notifications). Alerts follow the time zone the app detected; if you travelled, the market keeps your home zone for a day before it moves.
Reporting a fund or an exchange
Open the fund’s page (Market › Book › the fund) and tap Report, or on an exchange’s page tap Report under the standings. Pick a reason; a note is optional, and you can block the fund in the same step. Reports come to us, never to the person reported, and we review them within 24 hours. If something can’t wait, email the address above.
Your data
- Export: Settings → Account → Export my data (JSON). Plus adds Export my statement (CSV).
- Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete account & history. Everything is removed from our servers. An active Plus subscription is billed by Apple or Google Play and is not cancelled by deleting the account, so cancel it in that store’s subscription settings as well.
Delete your account without the app
If the app is no longer on your phone, you can still have Opening Bell delete your account and everything in it:
- Email frederickfermin123@gmail.com with the subject Delete my account, from the email address you linked with Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Say which fund it is (its address, such as
$GRIND/FRED). - We delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and reply when it is done.
What is deleted: your account, profile and fund, its listings and check-ins, the whole price ledger, earnings reports, alert settings and push token, and the RevenueCat subscriber record.
What is kept, no longer linked to any account: the store’s purchase records in our billing ledger, and any report someone else filed about your fund, which keeps the names as they were reported. Crash reports and analytics events already collected expire on their provider’s own schedule (see the privacy policy).
An account that was never linked to Apple or Google has no email we can check, so delete it from the app (Settings → Account) while it is still installed. If it is already gone, write in with the fund’s address and we will ask for a detail only its owner would know before deleting it.
